Local Legends Car Hire, operating under Local Legends Travel Limited, is a Zambian-owned transport and mobility solutions company based in Lusaka. We specialise in reliable, convenient and professional vehicle hire for individuals, businesses, tourists and corporate clients.
Founded in 2023, the company was built on the belief that transportation should be simple, safe, flexible and customer-focused. Whether for business travel, airport pickups, leisure trips or long-term rentals, we provide mobility solutions designed around our clients' needs.
We do more than rent vehicles — we deliver comfort, reliability and peace of mind.
Where we operate from
Our base is Hangar 6A at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport. That choice was deliberate. A large share of car hire in Zambia starts with somebody landing in Lusaka, and every minute a client spends waiting for a vehicle to come out from town is a minute we have wasted for them. Being on the airport grounds removes that entirely.
It also changes how we handle the awkward parts of the job. Flights land late. Immigration queues run long. Plans change in the air. When you are already at the airport, absorbing those things is straightforward instead of a scramble.
Who we work with
Our clients range from a family taking a Fortuner to South Luangwa for a week, to an NGO running a field programme that needs four double cabs for three months, to a company meeting visitors off international flights on a standing arrangement. The service adapts; the standard of the vehicle and the way we communicate does not.
