About the Jeep Patriot
The Patriot is the smallest 4x4 in our fleet and, for a couple or a small family heading out of Lusaka, often the one that makes the most sense. It is easier to place on a narrow road and lighter on fuel than a full-size double cab, while still being a proper 4x4 rather than a soft-roader with a badge.
It is well equipped for the kind of trip people actually take here. A sunroof for the drive out, heated seats for cold mornings on the plateau and early starts in the dry season, and air conditioning that genuinely works — not a detail to take for granted in a hire car in this climate.
A roof carrier is fitted, which is the practical bit. Five seats and a boot fill up quickly once a family adds cool boxes and camping kit, and the carrier takes the overflow so nobody travels with a bag on their lap.
Best suited to self-drive touring, weekends away and longer stays where comfort matters as much as capability. Available with a driver if you would rather not drive it yourself.
